My Ginkgo Garden

Welcome to Zerin’s garden! I am an avid gardener, and my ever-changing perennial garden is a great source of joy for me and my family. With our 15-year-old Ginkgo tree in the center, our south-facing full sun garden is home to many native plants (and weeds), birds, bees, and little critters. Enjoy!

Spring starts with yellow Daffodils & Forsythia (late February through mid April). What a welcome color after months of winter whites and grays!

The pinks, purples and whites follow, with Hyacinths, Alyssums, Cherry Blossoms, and blooming fruit trees - Pear, Cherry and Crab Apple.

Mid May brings my favorite Allium blooms - lovely purple orbs of beauty!

Bearded and Tall Irises - violets, purples, and whites - grow in big clumps late April through May.

May is when Four O'Clocks take over!

Red Climbing Roses bloom in summer - sadly, other Roses have not really done well in my garden!

Gladioalas of every color bloom all of late summer and fall.

Fruits to share with everyone - Pears, Asian Pears, Mulberries and Grapes.

Day Lillies of so many colors happily bloom all summer!

Native summer perennials in full bloom - Black Eyed Susans, Purple Coneflowers, and Russian Sage.
